Bastogne Relieved 1944 DEC
1944, 26/DEC. General George Patton's Third Army succeeded in reaching Bastogne and relieving the besieged 101st Airborne Division of the United State Army.
In this diorama, you can see the Cobra King Jumbo Sherman moving into the town of Bastogne with the 3rd Army. The 101st Airborne are heavily bruised but they successfully defended the important strategic location.
The relief of the siege of Bastogne is a turning point of the Battle of the Bulge. The Allies succeeded in a counter attach and pushed back the final aggression of the Nazi army.
After that, Germany had no resources to initiate any other aggressions and was defeated in May 1045.
